Science Supports Solar Dry
Solar Dry (SDI) is manufactured with perforated metallic polymer facers laminated to closed-cell, lightweight Type 2 (20 psi) Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). Solar Dry is permeable. It is neither an air nor vapour barrier. Located on the inboard side of SDI panels are scientifically designed vertical air cavities. These cavities encourage walls to drain, dry and disperse moisture to the outside. On the outboard side, the location for furring strips (metal or wood) is identified by shallow depressions.
