At Quik-Therm, our mission is to transform the construction industry by providing high-performance building insulation solutions which simplify envelope assemblies and reduce labour/material costs while producing healthy, energy-efficient, sustainable and lasting buildings. Whether the project is a home, commercial building, renovation or high-performance building envelope, our goal remains the same: Make it easier to build well.

We look at the entire building envelope, not just insulation, to find smarter ways to manage heat, air, moisture and weather while making installation simpler. The result is unique systems designed to reduce thermal bridging, manage moisture, and help projects achieve better performance without unnecessary complexity. Because better building science should make construction easier, not harder.

Our History.

Quik-therm started with a simple idea: Insulation can do more.

Originating in Winnipeg, Quik-Therm is a family owned and operated business founded by Ted Cullen. Based on previous work experience and his natural knack for inventing, he wanted to develop a product that could be more than just a flat sheet of insulation. At a time when the industry was comfortable doing things the way they had always been done, he was asking a different question: “Is there a better way?”

Through multiple iterations, Ted finalized the design of our flagship product – Air Dry Connect. His original ideas challenged conventional building practices and weren’t immediately understood. As building science evolved, his ideas and designs proved to be ahead of their time. What once seemed unconventional became practical, valuable solutions to real construction challenges.

That willingness to question the status quo and drive to improve building performance has led to new products, great partnerships, and industry recognition over the years. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.
